Everyone loves my oatmeal. My clients (and family and friends) who’ve tried it over the years get hooked. Maybe you and your family will too! The preparation time is minimal – 5 minutes or less. Microwave time – 8 minutes. I never run out of the ingredients. They’re cheap and easy to stock. I always keep them at hand. Here goes:
Add 1/2 Cup of Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (any brand) to a large, 1-quart microwavable bowl.
Step 2: Add 1 cup nonfat or low fat milk or soy milk
Step 3: Add a pinch of salt and, if you wish, vanilla or cinnamon
Step 4: Add 1/4 cup of your favorite roasted, unsalted nuts and a couple of tablespoons of any dried fruit
Step 5: Microwave for 4 minutes, let rest a couple of minutes, then microwave another 2 minutes and let rest again. Step 6: If you wish, add a teaspoon of honey, brown sugar or maple syrup and a tablespoon of light butter
Finally, add fruit of your choice: fresh, frozen or canned will do!
